The Copa America 2024 app was born from a simple idea: make the excitement of the tournament accessible to everyone.
From die-hard fans who live every play to moms who just want to follow their national team, the app became a space to experience football together — all the news, stats, and emotions of the cup, in one place.
What do football fans need to know, to follow the Copa?
Major tournaments are thrilling, but keeping up with them can be chaotic. Information is scattered across websites and apps — schedules here, stats there, news somewhere else.
We wanted to bring it all together, but without losing what makes football special: its emotion, its rhythm, its community.
The goal was clear — an app that feels like the tournament itself: dynamic, social, and full of life.
As the Founding Designer, I led the project from concept to launch, defining the information architecture, designing the full UX/UI, and creating every visual and marketing asset.
Working side-by-side with the two founding engineers, we built an experience that felt as vibrant and alive as the tournament itself.
Initial information architecture of the app
A clear and welcoming overview that unites all the different features the app provides, giving fans an instant snapshot of the tournament the moment they open the app.
A real-time alert system that keeps fans connected, delivering instant updates on their chosen teams, groups, or matches — even when they're away from the app.
The heart of the experience, showing real-time stats, ball tracking, and instant updates for goals and cards — turning every match into a living, visual experience. Fans can choose to turn on notifications for all the matches they want.
Fans can select their national or just favorite team to unlock a personalized view with tailored updates, match reminders, and key stats focused on what matters most to them.

The app captured the energy of the tournament and turned it into a shared experience.
Built by fans, for fans — it became the go-to companion of Copa América 2024.
Designing for a live global event demanded constant flexibility and time availability.
As a team of three, we iterated in real time during matches, reacting instantly to user feedback.
It taught me how to design at the rhythm of live emotion — and how passion, more than scale, can make a product truly unforgettable.
